Composting
As one of the first composting facilities in Austria, we have been composting organic waste and using it as a high-quality and also natural fertiliser for more than three decades. Our compost promotes soil life and condition.
While a large amount of energy and transport is needed to produce conventional mineral fertilisers, compost binds carbon dioxide and is therefore a sustainable alternative for fertilising arable soils.
Compost also offers other benefits: the application of compost contributes significantly to the reduction of climate-relevant gas emissions. It even contributes to the long-term fixation of CO 2. This saves up to the equivalent of 3.4 tonnes of CO 2 per hectare and year.
